Losing my virginity!

First of all don't be nasty, when I say losing my virginity, I'm referring to my published writing virginity. This post is the first thing that I've written in my entire 26 years of existence that I've allowed outside eyes other than those in my inner circle to view. I think back on my life and I've been writing since I can remember. It started as an outlet for me, I would write down what I was feeling at the moment or on the happenings of the day because I really didn't have anyone that I could talk to. As extroverted as I was when around people, everything that I was talking about was of no substance in my life, therefore I had to find a way to get my feelings out or risk bottling them up and having them eventually lead to my early demise. So I would write, and as I stated earlier, it started as just kind of a journal, but then I began writing poetry and eventually when I started playing the piano, I found myself trying to pen songs, although those never amounted to much. However writing was not only therapeutic for me, it was slowly becoming the only way that I could express my real emotions, and spoken word for me became sort of obsolete. I found myself writing love letters and poems to my girlfriends, and I felt like if you were special enough to get an original poem from Dave, then hey, we must be going places, lol! But eventually it kind of grew into an addiction for lack of a better word, I found it no longer easy to actually speak to people, as I felt that I couldn't really express myself unless I had a pen and pad in front of me to jot them down. But I digress, its my love of writing that has bought me here today, those that know me closest will even tell you that for the short time that I was enrolled in one of the finest institutions of higher learning(Nassau Community College) that I was an English major. Its the love that I have for writing that made me want to start this blog and to share my passion for the written word with you, some of who are my closest friends and will get to know me better through this than you might have ever known me before. All I ask is that you guys please don't judge me and just share your opinions, whether they be positive or negative on my postings. I will be sharing my deepest inner thoughts and my opinions on the going ons of the world and providing some social commentary. I will be also sharing my reviews on the latest fashion trends and the latest technology, and as I said before please feel free to chime in with your comments. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do, and I hope you guys get as much out of me as I hope to get out of you and your opinions. Til tomorrow guys! Dueces!
